In one of our recent blog entries, we showed you the four latest collections added to our wide range of Aquaclean fabrics. Veneto, Natura, Alba, and Fontana entered through the big door due to their capabilities, variety of colors, technology, resistance, but above all for their sustainability capabilities, as they are 100% recyclable fabrics, and of 100% recycled origin.
But what exactly does it mean for a fabric to be both recycled and recyclable? Recycled fabrics, the future of sustainabilityAt Aquaclean we create durable and environmentally friendly fabrics, thanks to the fact that they do not contain any PFCs, and there is no need to use chemicals for cleaning, just soap and water, thus reducing the pollution load of household waste and the impact on rivers, seas and oceans. Our goal has always been to create eco-friendly designs that reduce the carbon and water footprint, and to produce durable and environmentally friendly fabrics.
That is why our last four collections, presented in the One Planet catalog, are made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. Each meter of fabric comes from approximately 20 and a half liter plastic bottles. It is a material that is not normally reusable, but thanks to this action, we manage to give it a new life in the form of fabrics for your home. Therefore, if you are in doubt about what type of fabric to use in your sofa, and you care about meeting the goals proposed in the SDGs, I encourage you to try the feel of these collections, so you can discover that comfort, technology, fashion, and sustainability, can go hand in hand with Aquaclean. What is the difference between recycled and recyclable? although in this case the difference is not so relevant, as our latest fabrics meet both characteristics, it is important to understand how each of these two adjectives affects each other. as we have indicated, our latest collections come from kilos of plastic from plastic bottles reused for this purpose, in order to give a new life to these products. That makes our fabrics 100% recycled products.
On the other hand, a 100% recyclable product, as is also the case, is a Product that has the potential to be reused in the future.
. Therefore, our fabrics are part of a cycle that can continue to be reinvented and reused in order to avoid having to generate new product. If you use a product, and continue to give it a useful life, you avoid continuing to generate product that can be polluting to the environment. Thanks to these measures, we can be sure that we are on track to meet the SDGs proposed for the year 2030 and its seventeen Sustainable Development Goals, in addition to having received the ATEVAL award for Corporate Social Responsibility. Because we not only want peace of mind for our homes, but also for their future.
