At Aquaclean we take very seriously not only the peace of mind that our fabrics provide, but also the impact they have on nature. are PFCs or Perfluorocarbons. But why are they so negative? PFCs, what are they? Perfluorocarbons are a family of compounds derived from a hydrocarbon acting, among other things, as chemical repellents. In addition, they are used as packaging for many foods, fabrics for sportswear, or sofa upholstery, to repel liquids.
. Surely you already understand why they would be so essential for a fabric such as Aquaclean. The contra? Several years ago, different associations such as Greenpeace have been investigating these PFCs and explaining why they are dangerous for both human beings and the environment.

. PFCs have been found in animals such as dolphins, or in the liver of polar bears, as they are easily spread in water resources such as rivers, lakes, swamps, or seas. Because of their high fluorine content, their persistence in the environment, and their lack of biodegradability, these compounds last for generations in the environment. Knowing all this, Aquaclean could not use these compounds to make our fabrics waterproof.
So we researched how, with the latest technological advances, we could achieve a practical, resistant and safe product without using PFCs in the manufacture of our products. 
And we do this not only to support green manufacturing through responsible consumption, but also because if our maxim is the peace of mind of Aquaclean users, we cannot allow a harmful product such as PFC, which would be totally against our principles and values. Because we want peace of mind for you, your pets, and your homes.
