Last week we were able to attend one of the most important fairs in the world of the home, and more specifically of fabrics and their technology. The fair comes year after year so that professionals like us can show their progress, products and technologies, and also to indicate where the future of the industry is moving.
In the same, we have seen how sustainability remains one of the main drivers of the textile world, along with fashion and technology.in terms of numbers, one more year has met records in growth, both exhibitors and attendees. More than 46,000 visitors from 130 different countries, could see 2,838 exhibitors of 60 nationalities, including ours, so we could show our work to 25% more people than the previous year.
“New Sensitivity “Every year the fair usually focuses on a motif, or trend. In this case, the trend we have been following is “new sensitivity”, where textile production takes a new starting point, in this context, sensitivity means taking into account the impact when making a decision or producing a product. We need to acquire a sensitive way of thinking and of considering our relationship with others, technology and nature as a nexus. This is bringing about a new sensibility in home textiles through three different approaches: plant-based, bioengineered and technological textiles; three directions that show different paths towards a more sensitive textile world.
In the wake of this “new sensibility”, Heimtextil has sought to create colors that evoke emotions in our senses and at the same time respect our values of environmental protection, sensitive coloring methods using natural pigments from the earth and new coloring processes using innovative bioengineering technology. With this in mind, they have created a dynamic yet subtle color palette for the new trend 24/25: New Sensitivity.
Aquaclean and Heimtextil 2024Speaking more specifically about our experience at the show, it is always wonderful to be able to attend such events, especially of the caliber of the Frankfurt show. Being able to share our experience and technology with our peers in the industry, while we also nourish ourselves with the same, is something we can’t do on a day-to-day basis, so it’s an incredible opportunity. We also had the opportunity to be able to speak with the president of the Generalitat. It is always an honor to be able to have attendees of that level. Those who were able to attend the fair, and approach our exhibitor, were assured of a surprise, since in addition to being able to see our fabrics launched in 2023 Tiber and Olimpia, they were also witnesses of our new fabrics for the beginning of 2024 that you will be able to see very soon.
From here we want to thank all the visitors and the Heimtextil fair for another year of innovation, sensitivity and sustainability. We hope to see you in 2025!
